It all begins with Fernando, who has been working for several years in Chiasa, at a family business in the textile industry. From Monday to Friday, he is busy most of the day with his job. On the weekends, he spends his time on his hobbies and family. He is married to Nicoleta and they have a teenage daughter and son.
Quite often there are some other issues to be dealt with at home. One of the recent issues was the bad odors coming from the drains caused by clogged pipes, due to an accumulation of soaps, creams, and hair in the bathroom sink or food scraps in the kitchen.
One day, after trying different methods to get rid of the drain smells, some more aggressive than others, he was spinning his head over the matter, trying to put together the different ideas that had occurred to him, such as sink unblocked, drain unclogged, drain cleaner. He begun to project, analyse and test an idea that finally resulted to be a useful tool with which he would be able to keep the drainpipe clean, avoiding pipe clogs and eliminating drain odours.
Fernando shared his idea with Chiasa’s team. Together they further developed the tool and named it Xaf-clean. From this teamwork, a product emerged with a new line of business that responded to real needs. The product is currently patented.
We could explain who we are by introducing ourselves by the name of our family business, Chiasa. Located in Cabrianes, a small town in Barcelona’s province, since 1978, Chiasa has made its place in the textile market manufacturing by distributing technical reinforcement fabrics, as well as printing supports, both, on textile and non-textile bases. But we are more than that!
Chiasa is made up of people. And this is what we are: a team of people with a name and surname that together add up to an excellent product. Together we can turn a talented idea into a new project, thus promoting individual initiatives that have the purpose of making life easier by finding natural solutions that are committed to family health, environment, and domestic economy.
